Braless & Flawless

I'm Jenna. I am here to share my Journey with you... PAST. PRESENT. AND FUTURE.

 

I have always loved writing, and I have used it as a way to help me cope with some unfortunate and unpredictable events that have happened in my life.

​

In 2003, when I was 14 years old, I found out my mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Cancer was not as commonly talked about back then as it is now. I had no clue what was going on. We just followed the doctors' orders and stayed positive because my mom was a fighter. After a long 7 1/2 year battle against Breast Cancer my mother passed away at the age of 49.

Three years later, out of nowhere, my dad had a massive heart attacked and died instantly. My life was rocked once again. 

​

Now 29 years old, four years after my dad passed away, I am faced with tough life-altering decisions.

 

A few months ago I found out that I am a BRCA 2 gene mutation carrier.  Having a strong family history with Breast Cancer, I knew I had to be proactive and take control of my life. I am planning on getting a Prophylactic Double Mastectomy with Reconstruction November 2018.

Life is unpredictable and uncontrollable, so sometimes you just have to let loose and go braless because you are flawless no matter what!
